Do any kids actually ride the school bus anymore?

There are no such thing as school buses (except for field trips and sports) for any of my schools.

Oh, except the mentally challenged kids, they have their short-bus. Which is a waste of money IMO.

For a period of time, I was attending a private school, however both my parents worked, so they wanted me to take the bus to school since they had other places to go. The private school I was attending serviced a much larger geographic area than a public of the same size, and had a smaller pool of busses to draw from than an entire public school district, so the bus routes were pretty spread apart. I had to ride my bike two miles to a bus stop, lock my bike to a tree (the bus stop was at a semi-rural intersection) and ride the bus thirty minutes to school.

It was annoying.

Yes many kids at my school ride the bus. Its a common thing because of the coldness of a north dakota winter and most the freshman/sophmores dont have lincenses yet.

What's North Dakota?😀

A vast, open area of waste land. Land is cheap, but, damn, it's a boring place to live.

I've always lived in a city, so the only school bus in our district was the short bus.

my parents drove me and my sister to school until I was in 4th grade (she was in 6th). 4th grade - 8th grade was just a 5 block walk away, and 9th grade through 12th grade I took a train + city bus to school.

My mom has never had a car, so for the most part I rode the school bus until I was in 9th grade or so. Then I started staying late (and needing to be at school early) often for band and such, so I basically quit riding that bus and took the city bus instead. I did that for all of high school basically. (Didn't get a car of my own until I graduated from HS.)

Edit: I'm 20 and a college sophomore right now, for time reference.
