Are there any hotels that charge for high speed internet anymore?

I can't think of any chains...

Can anyone think of any national hotel chains that don't provide free high speed internet? If you could, please list the chain and if you know a specific example, can you please provide the city?

Thanks!

Prince Hotels out of the Pacific rim don't

The Hilton in Hawaii didn't, either.

Some do, some don't, even within a chain. The chains that advertise "free internet" have the * that says "participating locations only". Check the specific location.

What's that broadband service many hotels use? I can't remember the name. It comes to like $9.95/day.

Damn...can't think of the name.

Starwood brand hotels usually charge (not all) for internet service

Marriott too, but their Courtyard brand has free internet

Most Hilton also charges

It really depends on the specific hotel you are looking at... Feel free to PM me if you need more help, I basically live in hotels

All the cheapo hotels in my trek across the american southwest offered free internet. The hotel in Reno charged. Of course, having a casino downstairs is good incentive to not offer free entertainment. :D

These chains don't charge for hi-speed access:

Holiday Inn Express
Courtyard by Marriott
Hampton Inn
Hilton Garden Inn

Generally, the 'budget' divisions of the major hotel companies don't charge.

all the hotels in Vegas that I've stayed at have charged for Internet access - usually $10 per day

Most in Vegas and many in Reno.

Cox has an agreement with Vegas ara locations to provide Internet (Wire & Wireless)service.

they and others also are installed at many other gaming locations through the country.
It is up to their customer to determine if the end user will pay for the service. Cox is setup to charge their customer based on agreements of end-user per day.

I've been to some hotels (one recent one was the Inn at Port Hadlock, in Washington state) that say they charge for wireless Internet, but then don't secure it, allowing free access.
