Don't think so, some will have on-board scsi that can be used w/ a zero channel raid adapter(that's extra).

Most 64bit pci-x scsi raid cards cost in the $450-$800 range. Considering that a dual Opteron mobo cost about $450 then I'd say no, unless you find a mobo in the $1000 range.

I would not use a zero channel scsi raid adapter... One of my friends has an IBM server w/ a zero channel adapter w/ 6 - 15k scsi drives, and the through-put sucks....

Just get a Tyan K8WE and a LSI 320-2x raid controller...

unless youre running a server or something, there is no need for dual opterons

Yep, the Thunder K8WE is the best dual opteron board out there, and the S2895UA2NRF version has an LSI Logic 53C1030

You're better of getting the S2895A2NRF version and a seperate SCSI RAID HBA if you need more robust solutions.
