Do any car cd players play .ogg files?

Do any car cd players that you know of let you play .ogg files, or just mp3 and windows media?

I like the quality of .ogg but it's not a great medium if it's only good on your computer.

not that i know of soon though, as it is supposedly a better compression method etc

I don't know how soon, if at all really. MP3 gets so much news and publicity that everyone knows about em. Even the computer illiterate. How many people know about .ogg? Sure it's better in many ways, but I serious don't see much money to be made in making a car CD player with the capability to play ogg files when Grandma knows what an MP3 is and wants one 😉

Have all my MP3's stored on DVD. Now what would be cool is a Car CD/DVD player that recognised DVD's. That is to say, without buying a DVD player which plays movies for the car....just want one solely for MP3's. 🙂

i wondering if MS paid the car audio companies to use and promote the wma format? i'm seeing more and more companies making their decks capable of playing mp3 and wma files.

and there's no way to make a regular cd player be able to read a dvd. if the deck has the capability to recognize a dvd, it will also have the capability to play movie dvds.

yeah 4.7gigs of mp3s on one disk is cool but it's a b!tch to search for one or a few particular songs you want to hear at the moment.
