Do and of the major car brands have cruise control that operates as low as 20mph?

Do and of the major car brands have cruise control that operates as low as 20mph? Just the dumb style cruise control and not auto cruise control where if a vehicle in front of you slows down your car will slow down.

I'd be surprised if they did because cruise control at 20mph is an insanely bad idea IMO, because chances are if you're driving at 20mph you have to keep your wits about you, and also chances are that you're only going to be driving at 20mph for thirty seconds at most in general.

Except when the posted speed is 20 mph, 25 is more common.

20 mph would mean you're usually in a residential area, somewhere with lots of speed bumps, lots of stop signs, a school zone, a dirt road, or generally somewhere it wouldn't be a good idea to be on cruise control.

from a quick google, some car models allow low speed cruise control, though most of them are from places that measure in km/h and probably adaptive
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-minimum-speed-required-for-a-cars-cruise-control-to-operate

and why the specification for non autonomous cruise control?

another thread about low speed cruise control and how there were possibly mechanical limitations in the past as well as potential safety risks to implementing it now

I'm not saying I don't want auto cruise control, but I don't want to rely on a vehicle in front of me slowing down to 20mph to reach that speed myself.

Do you want it for a paper route? I don't think that it's considered to be safe in town where you would be going 20.

Posted in your other thread, but the Civic has had that feature as an option for a couple years now. It is adaptive, but it can also bring the car to a complete stop AND resume from a dead stop if you're in traffic. Might be what you're looking for:

Yes, Jag and RR have a low speed cruise control that is intended for off road use but can obviously be used on a road. I think it clicks off at 18mph or so.

Is 4-hi or 4-lo required to activate the low speed cruise?

On another note, I found this note from the Mazda CX-5 owners manual. I originally found it in a Mazda3 manual, so it may (or may not) apply to most of Mazda's vehicles.

With cruise control, you can set and automatically maintain any speed of more than about 25 km/h (16 mph).

I'm not sure on the older models but current models for both Jag and RR are standard intelligent AWD. So it's just a button you press and set your speed. Also, it looks like it is up to 19mph.
