Is the electric field of the Aluminum atom different from that of the Iron atom?

Indeed they do, once you have an aluminum case in your room the dust will be quick to react and settle on the prime real estate which is the top of the case. Then once that dust is properly settled they will notify their friend in other parts of your house to settle on some of the secondary locations such as any nobs sticking out, power cords and other such small horizontal surfaces. Then the word spreads to the dust in your neighbors home and they attempt to occupy the worst locations which are the sides of the case but they have adapted to such harsh living coditions and are happy to just be on an aluminum surface. Finally all hell breaks lose after all the surfaces are covered and new immigrant dust particles arrive to stake their claim- wars break out and dust armies from accross the town will converge upon the top surface of the case which you can observe as a thick mat of dust on the top surface. If you don't act quickly at this point they will soon reach a treaty where they allow the colonization of the heatsink and fans inside the case which provide them with a truly unique and enjoyable home but will cause you even more problems. Sorry got carried away...

I have a black aluminum case. I don't think it attracts more dust, but it's easier to see.
