I could get for cheap an ASUS PR/DLS mobo+ 2 XEON 1,7Ghz procs... before purchasing I just want to know what else I need to run this setup. Mainly, PSU???

Thanks!

You can use a non EPS PS as long as it's at least 400W AND has the 4pin 12V connector.

For maximum stability, you should purchase an EPS version power supply.

i ran a supermicro dual xeon 2.6 with a 350 powerman non-p4 rated power supply.

it had the regular 4pin 12v and a seperate 8pin 12v power. I just got adapter for those. At the time, I ran it with 4 IDE + 2 SCSI HDD, 3 CD/DVD ROM Drives

I recently upgraded to teh vantec 470a stealth because it had 10 4pin molex for drives. I had to use a lot of Y adapter before and it made my case a mess.

I dont think the asus had any special connectors.
