yeah probably unlimited space, if they can afford to give people 1gb of free space they probably give their employees all the space they want.

Nope. 6 characters or more, letters, numbers and periods only as far as I know.

you know what I mean, they got michael@gmail.com and george@gmail.com and so on

I like the way they're rolling out the service, btw. It's a pretty good way to gradually get things up to speed; God only knows what would have happened had they just opened the flood gates after only a small beta group.

Just talked to my friend, who has a friend at Google. He says he has a firstname.lastname@google.com email adress.
