do all dual link dvi handle 2560 x 1600?

I just picked up a used Dell 3007WFP monitor and I realized I don't have a dual-link DVI cable. When I looked to purchase one, the listed specs seemed to indicate it couldn't actually support the 2560 x 1600 resolution I'm looking for. e.g http://www.amazon.com/Cables-26911-...&qid=1362272730&sr=8-1&keywords=dual+link+dvi

When it comes to cables, order from the pros:

Check the specs, says 2560x1600

Also if you can, opt for DisplayPort.

As long as it is DVI-DL with the proper pinout it will work at 2560x1600. What won't work is a SL DVI cable, at least not at 2560x resolution.

I actually don't see any reason why the linked DVI-D cable wouldn't work, it does seem to have the proper pin out.

No, it must be a dual link cable. Please be aware, that there are cheap cables out there that have the dual link connector, but only wired for single link.
