Do all DDR boards have a Phase 3 PS? ie. palomino ready?

Just wondering, the KK266 came a out while ago now, and printed right on the box it proclaims itself as palomino ready (1.5 ghz)... just wondering why the newer boards (specificly the FIC AD-11 and the MSI 760 board) don't make simular claims...

2-phase doesnt mean it will wont work with Palomino and 3-phase doesnt mean it will. As long as the MB is capable of the Vcore Palomino uses which should be 1.5 or 1.6 (Im guess 1.6) you should be fine.

It really depends on the components used as to which runs better (2-way vs 3-way). All things equal, the 2-way will run hotter than the 3-way. But in the real world, not all things are equal are they? :)

Exactly, I can go make a voltage regulator that uses 2-phase that would work better then one thats 3-phase, it all depends on the components used. But Im running 1.5Ghz @ 2.16 Vcore... thats alot of power drain and it runs fine.... there is NO way Palomino can used more power then a T-Bird 1.5 @ 2.16Vcore unless AMD starts requiring water cooling.

... not sure why, I think I read a article that implied that a 3 phase power supply is better suited for the new palomino... which actually will draw quite a bit less power, around the 1.1 ->1.5 range if I remember correctly...
But anyways, back to the question, do the DDR boards have 3 phase P.S.'s?

i think what you read was abit marketing, as for ddr boards i dont know if they all have 3 phase or not
