do all bluetooth keyboards universally work with XP?

I want to get one of those little folding pocket keyboards with bluetooth to use with my new lappy to avoid hunchback strain.

do ALL bluetooth keyboards follow some sort of universal standard that allows them to work out of the box with XP?
with OSX?
with linux?

with linux, i'd say it's hard to tell. it depends if the drivers are out there.

that would apply for macs and winxp as well.

but why worry about being a hunchback? prop up a pillow behind your back, lay down, put your knees up, and rest the laptop on your thighs 🙂 so comfy

nah any position with a laptop is going to give you serious health problems after extended use. the external keyboard lets you move around frequently and get into a more natural position

so it's not all universal? I thought bluetooth had some profiles or something that are supposed to make all devices of a certain type work the same anywhere

I don't see how using a bluetooth keyboard with a laptop would be very useful at all, especially a folding one. Sure with a PDA but not a laptop, the keyboard on the laptop is going to be better than a folding keyboard.

ugh read my posts please. why does this happen so much on AT?

anybody out there who actually knows stuff about bluetooth wanna answer my question? I'm pretty sure it's true that any bluetooth keyboard should work with any bluetooth device that supports text input but I want to make sure
