Do actors "penetrate" in movies?

Well, this isnt a spoiler or anything for the Matrix, but I was wondering about that sex scene.

Both Keanu and Carrie Ann Moss were clearly naked in that scene, and I have a hard time believing that in the initial shot he wasn't penetrating her. I don't care if you don't like Carrie Ann Moss, but if she's in the welcome home position, you are in the upright position. And if you penetrate, er, its hard not to make it not go all the way.

If they do penetrate, I think if I were the husband/wife of either, I'd definitely take exception to them filming that scene, which btw was totally unnecessary...

And I hardly think you'd be in the "upright postition" with cameramen, gaffers, grips, best boys, light and sound crew, property masters, etc. shouting and screaming around you while setting up for the scene, no matter how "welcoming" she is.

If I were an actor, I would probably get an erection and accidently ejaculate in the first few seconds of filming -- but no penetration. I'm too small to be able to achieve penetration.
