Do ABIT RAID controller cards only work in ABIT mobos?

I'm lookin for a RAID card and ABITs seems to be the cheapest. I'm leaning toward Promise however I'm exporing all possibilities...
 
I doubt it. Other mobo manufacturers use the High-Point chip (HPT 370 or 368 or something, same one on Abit's RAID card) on their boards.
