Do 2.4GHZ cordless phones interfere with 2.4GHZ wireless networks?

So, this is the thing: My cordless phone died, and I'm interested in buying a 2.4GHZ Uniden at Costco for $45CDN. I'm worried, though, that it will interfere with my wireless network. I'm using a Linksys Wireless-G based setup. Will I be ok or should I look for something else? The 5.8GHZ phones are too expensive. I guess I'll be stuck with 900MHZ. :(

900 Mhz for cheaper phones, 5.8 for expensive. Stay away from 2.4 Ghz if you have a 802.11b or 802.11g network. Doesn't 802.11a used 5.8Ghz???

The older better 2.4ghz phone I had interfered sometimes, but the cheap one I have now doesn't.
