i like the 6850 because it's fast for cheap.

the intel 975XBX has some good reviews on OCing
guides like Wusy's OCing guide at Toms Hardware.

are these technologies compatible ? if i put an E6850
on the 975XBX (which I just bought !), will the CPU
still run at the 3 GHz advertised, though with a slower
FSB speed ?

for memory i have the Mushkin DDR2-800 with the
Micron D9 chips. also some G-Skill DDR2-800.

I like the idea of all solid capacitors that Gigabyte uses in there ultra durable line. Just wish they made one in Micro Atx - I dispise big pc cases.

The all solid caps is somewhat of a marketing thing too though. It's not like all asus mobo's suck because they aren't advertised with solid capps like gigabyte does.

The gigabyte is a better overclocker then the intel mobo btw. If the intel mobo costs more, i'd go with the ds3r no second thoughts.

Solid Caps = Marketing gimmick.
How often do we blow capacitors on our motherboards? Even the cheap ones...
