Hi folks,

My company will be changing data centers soon. As a result, the IP addresses for the web servers will need to be changed to match the new DC. Anyone here knows how long it'll take the DNS servers to replicate the change in IP so that the net users will not be incorrectly redirected?

Thanks!

If you set your time to live for all your records to a low amount <24 hours then your approximate propagation delay is usually 24-48 hours.

Depending on what your current time to live is you have to do this in advance that number of hours/days to ensure you propogate the new time to live out to as many of the DNS servers as possible.
