Dns issue?

i recently let somebody on my pc to visit a movie site called solarmovies. at first i had connection but no internet access . i have gotten it to work with firefox and a game i play however chrome IE opera and a voice client Teamspeak i use do not work. I can not start DNS services in services.msc . I can not do a system restore. I can not do windows update or service packs. I have entered a alterante dns of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and i can use firefox butnothing else. any ideas?

You haz virus.

Get a rescue CD from AVG, burn it to a CD/DVD, and clean your computer up.

Be prepared to wipe/restore.

Make a Boot CD/Flash Drive form this - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-is-windows-defender-offline

Boot from it and Run it.

think i got rid of virus but how do i repair the DNS and services issues? "troubleshooting service" wont even boot

i dont have windows CD or partition saved or I would just wipe it clean .

this is where i got the major issues. i was excited to see that /scanow thing but this is error i get "Windows Resource Protection could not start or repair the service" - - - all of my services are screwed up. even when i try to start them in Cmd they wont work . ran as admin too... thanks again though

It sounds like you have a "bad" virus. That category of Virus in my opinion always requires a fresh install. Backup your data, format the disk, install windows, patch windows, install Anti-Virus software and restore data.

If you really want to try to fix it, then I would start running through various online virus scanners and things like Hijackthis to try to clean it up manually.
