DNS error being reported when going to forums.anandtech.com

This post could go into Networking/SW or most anywhere else but I figure that I would give OT a chance.

I can not connect using my primary laptop when using Firefox, IE or a IE derivative.

I have getting a DNS error on my primary system ever since the DOS attack that took down the forums earlier this month.

I have completely removed my hosts.ini file (where I had the IP address for the forums) by renaming it.
I have checked for forums.anandtech.com via the registry and also doing a file search for the character string.
Deleted all temp files using the Tools option and cleared history.
I have turned off the Zone Alarm firewall and do not have the XP firewall enabled.
I have bypassed the Netgear router and attempted to go straight via the cable modem.

Yet I can get to the main anandtech.com web page with no problems. This leads me to belive that the DNS information is buried somewhere within the system and I can not find it to remove/reset it.

Assistance is greatly appreciated because I now am getting to much work done due to the lack of monitoring neffers and providing advice here on AT.😛

I am unable to easily check replies; therefore it may take a day or two before I am able to respond to any questions/advice.
