DNS/DHCP Question

Cannot figure out why the server is assigning more than one IP to some computers. For instance a computer will have a X.X.X.10 IP then all of a sudden it will asign the pc x.x.x.11 (just one number off also) but it will not update in the DNS. If you ping computer 1 you will still resolve the .10 address..when the pc is now .11

I can get around it by editing the settings int he lookup zones but want to stop this all together
 
This is certainly not normal behavior; I'd see how you have it setup in DHCP.

First make sure this is the only DHCP server on the LAN (to ensure it's not picking up the second address from another machine). Than take a look at the lease duration and make sure it's not extremly low.

Make sure to double-check your DHCP server's DNS registration settings as that could also be part of the problem.
