DNS and slashdot.org

Hey all... Today I'm noticing this, and wondering if you guys are also:

So 8.8.8.8 can find it, but neither AT&T's DNS nor 4.2.2.2 can.

I have had mixed results resolving www.slashdot.org to an actual website, so I just use http://slashdot.org instead and it resolved 100% of the time w/o any problems.

www.slashdot.org is a redirect to slashdot.org. Remove the www and you will land on the real servers.
