6 page thread, with forum members quizzing GB about DNF;
http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=496648&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=93&fpart=1&vc=1

Some interesting info being gleamed from him. And about half-way through some forum members overstep the bounderies with GB, making claims about stuff, and theres a micro arguement (of sorts), but none of the forum members will take pot shots back at GB for some reason.

Despite all the micky take out of DNF, i am still eagerly awaiting the game. More so than HL2/D3.
Primarily cos it (DN3D) was the first "proper" game i played, and i played it for near enough 8 months strait, every night, just messing around in it.
Whenever it ships, i`ll be buying.

*shudders*

DNF is the ultimate vaporware and by releasing a product they will cause 2,000,000 people's heads to simultaniously explode.

They will not take that chance.

My personal theory is that at this point, they're hoping to release DNF for the 10th Anniversary of Duke3D (which, if I remember correctly, was released January of 1996....)

I'd love to see it, but at the same time, there are so many great new games coming out right now that make you wonder what the hell is taking 3D Realms so long - I just hope it's not a flop when it's released.

It'll be released, I still have faith. 3DR isn't a bunch of jokesters :)

The "when it's done" shtick has gotten so old.

Based on the answers he gave in his post, I think they're still very far from a release date. That's assuming they ever release it (a very large assumption).

I'm still holding out hope for TF-2, but that is also beginning to look more and more like vaporware.

Guys, DNF is very very real. I was playing it on a system with a Bitboys video card(the only card that can handle that level of detail) last week.

seriously though how are they still getting funding to work on a game this long.

for it to take this long when it comes out it better be the best game ever ..period

Other games, like Max Payne, made big bucks for them.

They had big bucks long before Max Payne. DNF has been 100% funded by them. Atari(Infogrames) is merely their distributor.

And that system was a phantom console Right.

I remember kicking your ass with the BFG. The controllers on the Phantom are the best. With 1.6Teraflops the video processor rocks.
