As per the head cow's .plan, DNet is going to begin blocking client versions 2.8014 and below in about 2 weeks or so. 2.8015(released May 2001) fixed an OGR results bug, meaning that previous clients have little scientific value, and are otherwise just taking up bandwidth. Dnet is also looking to use the occasion to shut down trojan clients still runing, so once they start the block, they will also be issuing the shutdown command to those clients. If you have any machines runing these old clients(or are the PhF
), please shut down these clients and/or upgrade them to a newer version, so that you aren't inadvertantly blocked from doing DNet projects. With OGR-24 almost over(really), it would be a real shame to lose all those clients.
