Dnet and countries..

I am a Canadian, and a proud one 🙂 But I use a .com e-mail address. I notice on Mika's I have a nice little American flag next to my stats. Now on dnets stats, in your settings, you can specify a country, I have mine set to Canada, so are my stats being added as a Canadian? Or still American? Do I have to set my e-mail to a .ca extention? (of course I'd loose all my current stats, but thats a risk Im willing to take for my country! 😀)

DaZ,

You don't have to change your email addy.
If you specify you're Canadian, then your stats will count for Canada.

At the bottom (or top, I forgot and am to lazy to look 😉 ) of the country stats, Dnet says they do not get the country count from the domains but from what the participant has specified in his personal settings.

Have to add the following:
Any participant that has not specified his settings will not be counted for the country stats.

I would yell about a vast American conspriacy to steal creidt, but then I remembered that Mika is Canadian as well <grin>.

ViRGE-

Actually, I don't think DaZ is talking about Mika's. It's just that he noticed that he was represented by a US flag there. His true question is whether or not he's being counted by DNET as Canandian.

DaZ-

In which case, I verified the information PeterN passed along. As long as you are listed as Canadian in your DNET profile, you're all set. Details can be found here at the bottom.

Those Damn Americans have claimed ownership of .com .org .gov, .mil . 😉
They're always recognized as being American, while they're just business, organistion(non-profit), governmental, or milirty.
only the .net is not recognied as being American, but as a Network ?? (aren't all TLD's that ??)
I'm beginning to wonder if there even is a .US(A) ??

Right on Virge,
You're right on the first part 😀 .

I read the next part as a Dnet issue, since he mentioned Dnet. 😀

Well I am more concerned about Dnets stats. Mikas only has that little flag. Not a big deal. I just wanna help my country out in Dnet overall 🙂

Thanks for your help.
