Did they let him out right away? My favorite part of articles like this is when they say that he is proven innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt, but he has to wait a few weeks in prison while paper work or some nonsense is going down.

"I thanked the Lord. He must have did it for a reason," Reed said. "The Lord has a reason for putting him in here, and he has a reason for keeping me around for me to see this."

/facepalm

He more than likely won't be able to function in the world once released. Sad, the government won't do shit to help him once he's out either, even more sad. What's amazing is even with being in prison for 35 years, he still has his faith in God. He lost it for awhile but came back around. Faith is probably the only thing that kept him sane.

I was born 35 years ago, it boggles my mind that he has been locked up my entire life. What a shitty story.

The first thing I would want is money. Lots of money.

In Texas, exonerated convicts get $80,000 per year in jail plus free healthcare for life and a free state education. So he would be looking at a $2,800,000 pay day down here. Although I think I would have rather had my 35 years back regardless of how useless they would have been.

I'm not religious....we had this discussion the other day....but you see everyone deals with things differently in life and if this is what helps some people get through the tough times in life who are we to question? I'm sure you think your smart....you aren't acting like it.

That's seriously fucked up. No way would I believe a child after I saw this program on Frontline years back how easy they are to manipulate. Must have physical evidence.

Look at Bain's wrinkles, they scream of pain and suffering. I cannot begin to express my sympathy for the man... this is why I'm moving out of this sorry excuse for a nation the moment I finish college. I refuse to work in and for this country.

Exactly. I moved out of this country as soon as I turned 13.

Don't get me started on this crappy country's education system, and I'm not Korean. Poor baby, I apologize if I made you shit yourself, would you care for a stress reliever?

You know what? I'd do that, BUT...the potential to write a book and sell it for shittons of $$$$$$$$$$$ is really a more sane option.

What's wrong with education here? We have so many international students coming here; there must be a reason.
