DMI POOL DATA >_<

I've heard this is a common problem, but none of the common cures are working.

I bought Shuttle AK31A mobo w/ Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB DDR, Plextor CD-RW, etc. The first time I boot up it's fine. I shut down because I forgot to plug in floppy drive. I plug in floppy drive. Now nothing works and I get "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." after BIOS. I have reseated RAM, unplugged ALL drives (hd, floppy, rw), cleared CMOS, and restarted what seems thousands of times. No improvement. Any ideas?

something is not compatible, or dead....try by unhooking one device at a time............make sure nothing is grounding out. I would start with a different floppy drive though seeing how that is where your problem started.
