Hello,

This is my first time posting to a forum so bare with me. For a long while now I have tried to activate Direct Memory Access in the Device Manager for my Pioneer DVD-115 and my HP9100i cd burner and everytime I check the DMA and reboot they uncheck themselves and nothing happens. I feel that I need to enable DMA to get my DVD player and my burner working at their max potential speed. If anyone has any solutions I'm all ears. I have an Abit KT-7 raid motherboard, athlon thunderbird 700, 128MB ram, geforce2 mx board, IBM 34gxp ata/100. Thanks for your responses.

Pioneer DVDs are known for not co-operating with the DMA setting.....they just simply don't work with the DMA setting. Just leave it off.

Moses1187,
I the Integrated Peripherals section of the BIOS, do you have the PIO and DMA detection set to auto?
