DMA on newer boards

Right guys. I never was able to get DMA working with my Asus CUSL2 even after following Intel's install procedure for the storage driver....twice. I was just wondering if, particularly the ECS K7S5A, need stupid drivers like this, or ar ethey DMA out of the box?

When I installed my ECS K7S5A I just did the normal install and dma has worked fine in both WIN-ME and XP. Hope that helps good luck.
