I just installed Winme and when i enable DMA mode for my Creative Labs 2X DVD, my system crashes and gives errors like crazy. So now my DVD movies run like crap because i cant use DMA.

What should i do??
 
I had a similar problem running an older, slower CD burner drive under Windows NT 4.0.
Other operating systems like Windows 98 and Windows 2000 were more forgiving.
Trying to write to the CD burner drive with DMA enabled under Windows NT 4.0 resulted in a 'Blue Screen of Death' every time.
Usually newer drives support DMA well.
