hi,

got win2000 running on mvp3 chipset (shuttle hot591p). just got a deskstar ata100 30GB. According to everything I've read, as long as the deskstar is on it's own channel I should be able to get it to run at udma mode 2 (33). My bios detects udma mode 2 fine, but win2000 reads it as pio mode (4 I think). in device manager it is set to 'dma if available', and installed the latest 4 in 1 for the mvp3. does anyone have this set up with the drive in dma mode? does anyone know how to fix it?

thanks
