DLP review sites aside from avsforum?

There's a Mitsubishi 52327 DLP 52" rear projection TV for $999, website says it does 720p but reading some reviews online, seems like can only do 1080i.

Any suggestions on where I can read more about this TV or do some price comparision shopping?

widescreen review is pretty good.

make sure you research the heck out of that TV because I think it is pretty old.

I'm pretty sure it won't accept 720p. mits have a history of doing that.

did some quick searching for you. Avoid at all costs. You know that whole "too good to be true" thing. Definately applies here. That is a dog of a craptastic TV.

think about it - it won't accept it's native resolution.

and with the prices of current DLPs, meh.

I own one Mits by the way. They've always been "weird" on inputs.

If you really want to learn more just put "mitsubishi 52327" and see what you get. Seems like the guts/display are good, but not being able to feed it it's native resolution is a big no-no to me.

The only reason it caught my eye was that it was a few hundred bucks lower than the any online place ... most places have it for $1.6k and this around $1k.
How do you know whether it accepts the native resolution or not ... and why is that 'bad', cause it'll have to do some converting with the signal?

I may have to back off my original stance. I'm a little picky about displays.

How about this? Go and look at the TV and if the price is right go for it. The stuff serious video guys just doesn't come into play with the average joe. Not that I'm insulting you, but I'm a video perfectionist. Bottom line - that is a great price on a TV that will fit 95% of people's needs.

From what I gather, with no first hand experience, and only what I've read on the intarweb (which cannot be taken at face value) it doesn't accept 720p. That may or not be important to you depending on what you feed it.

I'd also consider Samsung and Toshiba.
