DLink wireless desktop adapter & Ubuntu

I'm using an Asus K8V-SE Deluxe board & had no problems getting online w/either XP or Ubuntu when connected directly to my router (also a DLink), but when I went from a wired connection to a wireless due to moving my office from one room to another, I no longer can get online when using Ubuntu. I went into networking tools & it showed an "ath0" active.
I'm fairly new to Linux & didn't get alot of help in the Ubuntu forums.
Has anyone here had any similar problems?
Also, what can one do if one forgets his username/password to get into the wireless setup (when one types in 192.168.0.1 in the address field)?
Thanks in advance.

What problems are you having?

If you forget your Access Point's password, I think you have to either remember it or reset the device to factory defaults. Check the hardware's documentation for that information.
