Dlink Router dead? -- Is my experience with dlink different than everyone else's?

All of a sudden my internet stopped working. Lights on cable modem seem fine. Cable company says my router is pulling an ip. My dlink 614+ however, will not renew a DHCP ip. It just times out. No internet. Upgraded my firmware (after the problem started, not before) Firmware updated successfully but i still have no internet. when i connect my pc to the cable modem, I can get right on the net, so its definately my router. Ran the auto-config process, and restarted, reseting all info and still won't obtain an IP.

I think Dlink products Suck. I used to purchase only Dlink, but this is my 3rd dead router in 6 months, and I have seen 5 network cards die. Dlink products seem to have a 1year lifespan. ....... Gonna go buy a linksys

What's the warranty on your router? My D-Link 704P has lifetime warranty...
