The Computer:
What I've tried:
Can anyone think of anything I haven't thought of?
I don't have access to another sound card to try, but it seems I should be able to get this to work...
Thanks for any help you may have.
- Win XP -- Clean Install, no other apps at all
PIII 700, 512 meg ram, Asus Cusl2-c (nothing overclocked), Geforce2 Pro GTS
SB Live Value card (no software installed, only driver)
D-Link DWL-520 + Wireless NIC
- If both the DWL-520+ and the SBLive are installed, the computer will either reboot, shut down, or give me the BSOD upon reaching the desktop. Everytime and always after reaching the desktop.
The computer will boot fine with either of the cards, just not with both of them.
What I've tried:
- Moving both cards to all combinations of PCI slots
Assigning PCI IRQ through BIOS
I can boot into XP in safe mode with both cards installed, neither have any IRQ conflict with each other, or any other device, regardless of if I set the IRQ through BIOS or if XP assigns IRQ
Reinstalled WinXP with both cards in PCI Slots
Reinstalled WinXP with no cards in slots, then add one at a time
Called D-Link Tech Support, they said I'd tried everything they knew of... there is some conflict... duh, they suggested I try a USB adapter
