I just bought one of these, cause it was on sale for $30 at OD, and that was the lowest price on the web. I only found one thread on it on the DD-WRT forums, it seems like it's a new hardware design. The unit I purchased was hardware rev A1, firmware 1.01NA.

I got my previous DIR-615 working really well with DD-WRT build 14896, running as a wireless repeater in "Client" mode right now. It's a great help.

I ordered a Trendnet 632 at buy.com, because they are on sale for $25 free shipping, and supposedly those are DD-WRT compatible too. I want a router to send to a relative's house, so I can use my laptop when I come over. I was going to send the 632 (originally I was going to send the DIR-615), but then I thought today, why not buy the DIR-601, and keep the 632 for myself, if I can DD-WRT that one too. (If you haven't noticed, I swear by DD-WRT, I flash all of the routers that I can with it.)

So does anyone know much about the DIR-601, other than it's an N router, 150Mbit/sec (single antenna)?

Newegg reviews are fairly decent: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833127288

I found out that the hardware is virtually identical to the DIR-600 rev A1, which has been discontinued (and presumably replaced by the DIR-601). There is DD-WRT support for DIR-600 rev B1 (RaLink hardware) but not DIR-600 rev A1 (Atheros hardware).
