My G/F and I are trying to use NetMeeting for live video between each other. She's using AOL, I'm using a cable modem.

Now, she's able to see me fine, but I can't see her. She's had to use this for co-workers, so she thinks her end is set up fine. I'm using a DLink 704 Router/Gateway at my house connected to Cable Internet access.

I went into my admin funcions for the DLink, and set my I.P. to be the I.P. address as the DMZ host.

Anyone have any other suggestions on why I can't see her? Oh, I'm also using WIN 98, and so is she.

Thanks

This issue has been discussed quite a few times. Routers, gateways, firewalls, etc, aren't very friendly to H.323 (the protocol used by most videoconferencing programs for A/V). You need to be sure both required A/V ports are open on your router, but even then you may have some problems connecting with A/V (not to mention a possible security issue).

You could search this forum using "netmeeting" for other threads covering this issue, or for detailed info you could search the MSKB using product=netmeeting and question=firewall.
