K well i like the DLINK becaue of the built in giga ports and if the preN had gigports this would be no-contest. The actual gaming features of the dlink are nice and would come in handy here and there but not a huge plus. The preN is FAST and has a HUGE wireless range so that's a plus. the Belkin also is full MIMO able to run A, B, and G netowrks without lowering itself to the slowest common denominator not exactly sure the Dlink can do that?
I have also heard that when actual 802.11N is released current .11G routers will be able to upgrade to N with a firmware upgrade as long as it has 2 or more antennas!?!?!?! but that the belkin pre-n will NOT be able to upgrade to real N despite the fact it has 3 antennas?!
Like i said i love the fact the dlink has giga ports but i am not fidning anythign that says its wireless performance is better than other G products or even close to the pre--n's speed or range!?

what are you planning on hooking up on your network? So far N looks to be a while away and will probably go through many changes as seen with the enhanced Gs. So i wouldn't bet on getting PreN to be true N. Even chip revisions will change performance on standards. We'll need more details on what computers you want to hook up and what you want to do for recommendations.

eh my house currently only has 2 computers and the laptop i am going to get soon which will be centrino pentum M.
I just want the fastest and widest wireless range from my router which is why i want the Belkin pre-N but i also want the giga ports ont he Dlink 4300, but i am not willing to buy the belkin router and a seperate giga switch.

is this a question?

IF U REALLY WANT gigbyte - buy the dlink

IF U REALLY WANT wireless PreN - buy Belink

What ever will be best for ur network setup... I can say which cause i dont now how ur home is setup,

Who uses the wireless that u need PreN for = if its just websurfing on that laptop than u dont really need it.

If u do alot of File transfer between the Desktops = Gigabyte would be the right choice for you.

Buy what u need..

What do you need gigabit for? What i did was just setup the 2 desktops through a gigabit switch so that anything on the ground will have gigabit. Then i don't have to worry about the router. I've tried the speedbooster and extreme versions of the G and they haven't been that great, i'm thinking PreN will at least give something near the performance of 100Mb Ethernet. Usually if i can't wait for something to transfer i just stick in an ethernet cable as surfing and streaming DIVX is fine with regular G. You also don't have to deal with an external PCMCIA wireless adapter too.
