I got the 4300 has a warranty replacement for my DI-784. The Mini PCI card I have now in my laptop won't do 108Mbps with the 4300. I imagine it's due to the fact the the PCI card I have has an Atheros chipset and from what I've read the 4300 does not.

Any recommendations for a good mini PCI WiFi card to work well with the 4300? Currently I'm using the latest driver with my Atheros card 5.0.0.107. Wonder if rolling back to an earlier driver would allow me to go 108? My current mini PCI is 802.11a/b/g.

Any thoughts?

If you're not using the D-Link products able to achive the 108G, then max you'll get is 54Mbps. D-Link offers the 108G as their proprietary standard for certain products they make that can handle the 108 turbo mode. I know I have the same router. Its not the Atheros chipset at all thats the problem, as some of their adapters use an Atheros chipset as well. Hope any of this helps.
You might have to use a cardbus adapter like

DWL-G520 (PCI), DWL-G132 (USB), DWL-G650 (PCMCIA) : all 108mbps

few others, but base on N. Above should bring much more compatible and reliable to have a consistency for the 108.

There are SuperG Mini on eBay.

Would it work with DLink DGL-4300? Who knows.

Try to email the people that offer them.

I've got the same router. And I can confirm that it works at 108Mbs with the netgear wg311t adapter...in xp64! I had to use the gigabyte GN-WP01GT 64 bit drivers, though. If you're not running 64 bit, any Atheros superG based card ought to work. 64 bit is tougher though. I wold have gone with the gigabyte adapter mentioned above, but it doesn't seem to be sold in the US...I could only find the gigabyte mini pcie version of the above pci card at ewiz.com, if you're looking for a laptop adapter. It's the GN-WI01GT. The GN WI01HT mini pci is also available in the US.

CISCO sells a Wireless G Mini-PCI card and they are known for their compatibility and robustness.

Well... as I mentioned initially the 784 worked fine with the Mini PCI card as both have Atheros chipsets. It seems the 4300 has Atheros chipset as well so I should be able to get 108Mpbs. Apparently I need to try various Atheros drivers but some that I know that worked at 108 with the 784 will not with the 4300.

Hmm..
