hi guys,

i just picked up this from bestbuy and i'm getting this problem where i get disconnected every minute. my telnet sessions would hang, and my web browser wouldnt display the page i select. i found that "renew lease time" will reconnect me, but doing it every minute isnt a solution!

ideas anyone? if this persists, i'll have no choice but to return it, and go back to unplugging my desktop when i want to browse with my laptop ... troublesome but at least i dont get disconnected!

Below is the help page of router's stup menu (through web browser add: http://192.168.0.1), may be Maximum Idle Time needs to be changed?? just guessing since i have'nt got DSL yet so I have not tested mine (d-linkDI-704p) pl update me if you are able to fix it.

LAN IP Address is the IP address of this product. It must be the default gateway of your computers.

WAN Type is PPP over Ethernet. If the WAN type is not correct, change it!

PPPoE Account and Password: the account and password your ISP assigned to you. If you don't want to change the password, keep it empty.
PPPoE Service Name: optional. Input the service name if your ISP requires it.
Assigned IP Address: optional. Required by some ISPs to get a static IP address.
Maximum Idle Time: the time of no activity to disconnect your PPPoE session..
