DL-524 wireless problem...

i used to have a DL-614+. it worked flawlessly using the hacked firmware. at one LAN party, it busted, so i had to get a replacement. so at frys, they had the 524 for 20 bucks, so i got that. it works fine too.

now the problem is, i have a laptop (Dell Latitude C400) that has wireless built in, and i still cant connect. i turned off the password in the routers settings, and the channel is 6. i also changed the settings in the laptop to channel 6 and set my domain name the same as my home computer. i can use wired ethernet perfectly, which im on right now. can anyone help me with this? thanks a bunch...
