So i just picked up a new PC with one objective to be able to play .mkv and other HD movie files via HDMI to my home theatre system.

I'm abe to get video and use my Samsung either as my "main monitor" or as an extended. Either way video is not an issue. Audio is an issue though. I'm unable to get any sort of audio at all

I have installed the latest Realtek drivers found here:

http://global.msi.com.tw/index...ncat_no=1&prod_no=1552

I have also installed the latest Catalyst drivers as well and i'm also running a Asus 4830 Video Card.

I'm running Windows Vista64. I took snapshots of my device Manager and my audio devices. Both seem to recognize the HDMI port and drivers seems to have installed just fine. Even when i play a test, the green bars are working so something is happening but i'm not getting any ouput.

See snapshots below:

Please help, this has become really frustrating for me as i've spent counteless hours trying to figure otu why i'm unable to get audio

Thanks in Advance

Not sure what the motherboard manuel has to say on the issue but its sounding like the board doesn't support audio thre the HDMI port. You just have to use the audio outputs on the board and run those additional cables to the TV.

As fas as I know this board should be able to delivere 1080P along with audio via HDMI. It was a big selling point when I bought the MB. The manual has no mention of the HDMI port, almost as if it doesnt exist lol
