Detroit Fuse-In this weekend!

For anybody that's going to be downtown, PM me, we'll have a drink or 7.

I think a friend of mine is going to be DJ'ing there, his name is George Vakoutis! He just told me he's got some DJ gigs for some Detroit party going on this weekend! So, it might be the same one.

As far as Sasha, he's alright IMO. He's one of those guys that's just soo out there sometimes, that people feel like he deserves respect. In my opinion, he's alright, nothing special. And yeah, these days...he's mainly progressive. But 'Sasha - Xpander' is definitely a classic. (Also like 'Lostep - Burma (Sasha Remix)', it's pretty new from his GU: Involver CD.)

AVB and Corsten are definitely the most animated, energetic DJ's in my opinion. Saw Ferry live last year @ 1150 in Atlanta, and want to see him again next month, but don't think it'll happen. (I live three hours away.)

Ferry these days has become sort of predictable as a DJ, but still my favorite. His music in the last year and a half has taken a whole new flavor, with this heavy electro feel, and I love it. He's got two new CD's coming out this year. (LEF, and Passport to the Netherlands). So, really waiting for those.

Good stuff people, keep this thread alive!

Gabriel and Dresden are playing at Eleven50 this Saturday I believe, for the Memorial Day weekend :), do not think I am going though, but I think I might be going down there when Sasha comes, June 9th, a Thursday anyway, not a Wednesday like Ferry :-\. Never seen either of them live, but it should still be good music.

I would LOVE to. I'm coming to Chicago on the 18th weekend of June, so I can't make TWO trips that soon!

Man, I wish I could see some more shows. Tennessee Blowz.

I bought ISOS 1 yesterday. A little bit pissed that there's only one cd in there for 16 dollars :p
Listened twice so far. Couple good tracks. The intro on track 1 is lame.

The opener for ISOS 3 is awesome, the way it blends with track 2...it's an 0rgasm for your ears.

ISOS 1 Opener: York - Reaches of Civilization
ISOS 2 Opener: TasteXperience - Tantric (This track is pretty good)

ISOS 3 Opener: Noa Assembly - Into the Fire, mixed straight with DJ Hooligan - Hear you Now (Grand Chillas Remix)....WOW.

Ya, I'm a freak. But you gotta hear the Opener of 3. I'm telling you...it'll send chills down your back. After the first two minutes, you'll be hypnotized, and you'll be in another world.

Hey, now, Tennessee does not blow THAT much, does kinda suck though that none of the bigger names come and play in TN. Nashville has a pretty happening scene, but no big names, some of the stuff up there is pretty good though, like Matthias Gewalt who is pretty good. If anyone is interested, check him out, can download some of his stuff from his site I do believe: http://www.matthiasgewalt.com/music.php . I also hear there is some kind of place that does chillout wednesday nights; I will have to check more into that cause that seems liek it would be really cool to go to and check out. Keyser, where abouts in TN do you live? During school I am up in Murfreesboro, otherwise I am in Chatty.

I live and work in Knoxville. Yeah, but is there a scene for this kind of stuff in Nashville??? I'll have to go to that site later.

this reference is pretty old but, I loved the previous ISS sets, and equated them to his live at los angeles set many many MANY moons ago. How does it rank to that?

whoa, HTF did I miss this thread for like a week? Anyway, ISOS4 is pretty good from what I've heard so far, but I've only listened to it once so far. I need to listen to it a couple of more times to really absorb what's on there.

I've been going to most of the big Vision concerts for over a year now and while the artists are good, the staff and crowd there are pretty bad. The gender ratio is really screwed up for the mid-level DJs like Gabriel & Dresden, but the place gets wayyy to packed for big names like Tiesto.

So far I've been to Tiesto, Gabriel & Dresden, and Armin van Buuren. I missed AvB last weekend when he came to Vision again though. Tiesto tickets are fvckin $40, and I wasn't too impressed last year with his performance. Armin, however, rocks.

BTW, on my recent trip to Miami, there was a concert by JunkieXL that I was able to catch. This guy was insane and rocked the hell out of the club, theres no doubt that I'll do anything possible in my power to make it to his next concert in chicago. When he played Beastie Boys- Fight for Your Right (2004 JunkieXL Mix), the crowd as well asd him, went absolutely fvckin nuts.

Well, first of all, I personally like Magik 6 (Amsterdam) more, so I'm gonna compare this to 6. But the ISOS sets vs. the Magik Series go for a totally different feal. The ISOS are more on the ambient side, while the Magik are more of a nice upbeat mix.

Give it a whirl, you never know :D
