I am putting together a little system in the living room for my wife as she loves to read on the couch listening to music and with the A2 massdrop deal I figured this couldn't be a better time to do it.

I putting A2's on a custom bookshelf her dad made her and want to make a DIY sub into a side table. Her dad is a master woodworker so he can help me with making the enclosure of the sub into a side table but trying to figure out how to get it connected and what plate amp to use.

Equipment:
Fiio E10 connected to an old PC that will be put inside the side table out of sight.

Audioengine A2

DIY sub will consist of Dayton 10" Reference HF.

My question is in regards to the amp I was thinking of using which is this one:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=301-510

The amp has built-in 6db boost at 30Hz as this will be a sealed enclosure.

Sub will be mounted in a down-firing config.

As far as the connections of the amp goes am I right to assume that it will go connected to the speakers like this:

E10 line-out -> line-in plate amp -> line-out plate amp -> line-in A2

Setting the sub to ~90Hz crossover the speakers should receive the right signal?

There's no guarantee that the line outs will be affected by the crossover.

The description makes mention of "line level loop through" which implies just that.

Ok so in a perfect scenario "line level loop" means that the speakers will receive the signal that is affected by the crossover?

Normally the XO in the plate amp only affects the signal that is being amplified, the line out is an unmolested full range signal.

You may want to read the reviews as a few wished they got the amp without the boost. The BASH 300 watt is on sale for $112 right now and has a selectable boost, if you don't like it you can turn it off.

Where did you find the BASH 300 for $112? PE has it for $168.70.
