Hiya
Just thought it might be informative to have a thread on screens that are Home Made, and of which materials those of us that have done it, have used.
I know AVS has tons of info on it, but many of us here never go there.
Here is mine:
89" screen, with use of 3/16" hardboard in a 1x2 wrap.
Paint is the Behr Flat ENAMEL UPW, without the Urethane finish.
Projector is the Infocus IN72, at 13' from the screen. Screen is used for both TV,(comcast), and DVD via an Oppo 970HD.
I tried the True Value "Winter Mountain", but the screen was too dark for TV viewing, not bad with dvd tho. Then I tried the UPW,(ultra pure white Latex), of Behr, but it lacked the Pop/pizaz that we look for.
With the above mentioned Enamel, it seems to be a good trade-off for me.
What do you folks have and run daily?
Larry
