I will be building a rear projection tv(64cm*48cm / 26inch*20inch) for games, tv and dvd. the plan is to use my computer monitor(17" @ 1152*864 samsung 763dfx) as the source by increasing the brightness. (will upgrade to a display with 1600*1200 native if all works well). i plan on using a screen with good enough gain(so i don't have to turn up the monitor too bright) to be used in relatively dim light in a 200sq foot room(25 meter/square).
the main question is, how good will the text display be for internet use? will the text be too blurred out to be read properly from a distance of 7 feet/2.5 meters?
about the screen:
what screen specifications should i get? what gain should it have?
i've checked out alot of web sites, but these specific details are hard to come by.
