DIY help - Lifting carpet tack strip

I think what I used to do was hammer a flat screwdriver into the wood at an angle (next to the nail) and then lever up to remove the nail from the floor.

I would use a carpet-tack remover myself

There are pry bars made specifically to remove molding and things like this that are nailed down. Try Home Depot or Lowes. They don't cost much.

Yeah, a moulding bar works fine, hammer it underneath the strip and pry it up
