DIY - $5,000 Cruise Missle!?

Wasn't there some dude in CA or NV who strapped a jet engine on an older car about 5-10 years ago? If I remember correctly, authorities found the remains of the car (and the dude) at the bottom of a cliff face. Apparently, from what I read, the car literally became airborne and slammed into the cliff at a high rate of speed - maybe 200-250 mph.

On Topic: I believe there was a report on ABC 14-15 years ago about how a cruise missile might be constructed with readily available parts. Seems such an undertaking would be much easier nowadays.

Really bad urban myth. It's been debunked so many times it isn't even funny.
