NO ONE HERE has advocated jailing or any other legal action against them. The Chicks have EVERY legal right to their opinion.

BUT, all their fans have THEIR legal right to their OWN opinions as well. And if the fan's opinion is that the Chicks are wrong, then they wont buy their albums.

Is that simple enough for the people crying about the Chick's rights?

I'm not boycotting the Dixie Chicks or Willie. It's fine by me to express an opinion. But when you say ala alec baldwin that you will leave the U.S. if things happen, then LEAVE! Him I boycott, not for his opinion, but his lack of courage and determination.

you know...i really can't stand the dixie chicks, but what i hate more is celebrities that use their status as a launching pad for their political views!! The majority of the celebs that do this always end up making a retracting statment, or an appology!!!

I would even go so far as to accuse any celeb of treason for making anti-american statements outside the U.S.

I know that sounds strong, but they should be held accountable for their actions!!!!! While in the U.S. it is their freedom to disaggree; BUT, they lose that freedom when they leave U.S. borders, and should KEEP THEIR GOD DAMN MOUTH SHUT!!!

There are too many "Hanoi Jane's" coming out of the wood-work during these conflicts! And when you have celebs like Sean Penn who acctually go to the country that we have engaged, simpathize with that countries cause, and denouce the U.S., then return to this country and expect the same freedoms that our fighting military men and women get....THAT'S SOOOOOO WRONG!!! I think that they should lose their citizenship, and be refused entrance into MY country!!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion!! I will never argue that!! But you know, that is a freedom that this country has fought for, and will continue to fight for! AND, if one leaves the SAFE, FREE borders of my country and makes anti-american statements then you have lost this freedom. One who makes these type of statements does not deserve the same freedoms that the rest of us share, that the rest of us support, that my friends, my parents, uncles, and grandparents fought for. Anyone making these types of statements, outside the U.S., are not good enough for these freedoms!!

I'm going to close with this... my six great uncle signed the Declaration of Independence, and tho he was not a "founding father" of this nation, he belived in the freedoms, that the peolpe of this country, deserved so much, he put his name and his life on the line for them.

If you truely hate this country, then get the f@#* out. No fanfare, no "big to do", just leave!! No one wants you here anyway!!
