Divx to Vcd?

Is this possible? I hadn't checked out much of the DVD-ripping scene lately, but a friend at work was watching JPIII and the clarity was amazing, so I was wondering if you can convert them to Vcd format to watch in the DVD player....

yes, it is. but i don't think you'll be able to fit it on 1 cd.

Nero can actually convert it for you, however when I tried it the disc didn't play in my set top DVD player. Might've just been the type of CDRW though.
Go here to really get the lowdown. Like NeoMadHatter said, it won't fit on one disc, but use the TMPGEnc program and it'll step you through the entire thing.
