if this isnt allowed, pleaselock.. im sort of frustrated. and yes, i actually did buy the dvds.
im having alot of trouble getting subs on the avi's..
i am using xmpeg 1.3c with divx4.02 2pass. first i just ripped the first chapter which is hte opening. that worked fine. then i ripped chapters 2 and 3. wholla, no subs. moreover, if i use the ifo to get the subs, it doesnt work because i only ripped chapters 2and3 and its missing the other chapters.
no big deal, i just rip the whole dang dvd. so the subs go thorugh and i go to sleep. i wake up and it crashes on the 1st pass at60%. i do it about 2 more times. the same thing. so i try with flask using a the low motion 3.11 codec. it freeze somewhere i forgot. so basically... my real question is..
1) how can i modify the IFO to where i can load only chapters with subs?
2) because currently, i need all the chapters.. next, why is it crashing at 60%? is it a buggy codec or is xmpeg buggy? thanks alot.
3) if i ripped the subs by itself and then ripped the movie [which works.. i think].. what program do i use to merge the text and avi?
