Do you know what? When I started to play it some box popped up and asked if I wanted to accept this file or something and I got tired of it and just said always trust content from Microsoft. Do you know where I can go to get this codec?

Download the playa and try it there.

Yes, I already did.

Ranging from 45 to 55 megs.

Try installing the old 3.11 divx files after you've installed the 'playa' divx 4 files. I know the playa doesn't support some audio codec that 3.11 did. I had to do that for a divx file that didn't have sound and it worked.

could you perhaps, rar one of them so that each file would be about 8 megs and then send me as many emails as the files are? (max size of attachments is 10megs here i think)

then I could hopefully play it and get sound and then I could see what sound codec is in use
